The theme of this week's prayer is “Prayer, Transformation and God’s Will"
SUN, 9 MAR:
A LIVING SACRIFICE, HUMBLE SERVICE
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you.Romans 12:2-3
Meditation: Reflect and pray how the following applies to you discerning or surrendering to God’s will… “He must increase, but I must decrease.” John 3:30
MON, 10 MAR:
FINAL INSTRUCTIONS
Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Meditation: Pray for your fellow brothers and sisters at Union Church. How can you encourage rejoice, pray and give thanks for the many ways God has blessed this community of believers?
TUE, 11 MAR:
DOES GOD WANT TO DO A NEW THING?
Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. Isaiah 43:18-19
Meditation: Reflect if there is a new portion of faith within you. Pray for the Lord to reveal that transformed faith.
WED, 12 MAR:
THE GREATER GLORY OF THE NEW COVENANT
And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with everincreasing glory, which comes from theLord, who is the Spirit.2 Corinthians 3:1
Meditation: Reflect if the greatest step to embracing the new thing that God wants to do in your life is to commit to His plan. Pray for the Lord to reveal that plan to you.
THU, 13 MAR:
ACCORDING TO HIS WILL
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us – whatever we ask – we know that we have what we asked of him. 1 John 5:14-15
Meditation: Reflect upon your will versus the Lord’s will for Union Church. Pray for His will to be done.
FRI, 14 MAR:
THE LORD’S PRAYER
Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Matthew 6:10
Meditation: Pray that peace and joy in the Holy Spirit is established in your heart, such that there is ample provision made for the fulfilment of His Divine will.
SAT, 15 MAR:
THE SPIRIT GROANS
In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness, for we do not know how we should pray, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with inexpressible groanings. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes on behalf of the saints according to God’s will. Romans 8:26-27
Meditation: Give praise that we are not alone; the Holy Spirit is praying on our behalf, according to His very own will.
SUN, 16 MAR:
THE THRONE IN HEAVEN
After this I looked, and there before me was a door standing open in heaven. And the voice I had first heard speaking to me like a trumpet said, ‘Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after this.’ At once I was in the Spirit, and there before me was a throne in heaven with someone sitting on it. Revelation 4:1-2
Meditation: Pray for the Lord to reveal what He has planned for Union Church.
