Mr. Michael Birley on behalf of Men's Fellowship invites you to the next MF Lunch (10 July 2020)
10 July, 2020 12:45pm
Address: Hong Kong Club (hosted by Michael Birley), Chater Road, Central, Central District HK
Cost: $350.00
Please join host Michael Birley and the Men’s Fellowship Luncheon on Friday, 10 July, 2020 at The Hong Kong Club.
This is a very special occasion. Our guest speakers, Gail Maidment and Ray Warhola share their personal talk titled, “Small World and Big God.” Sadly, it is also the last lunch that Ray will be organizing as on 2 August he and Gail will be leaving Hong Kong for a new beginning in Australia. Regrettably, there are no new beginnings without necessary endings.
Gail left her native Australia as a YWAM missionary (Youth With A Mission) and followed God’s leading to Hong Kong. In 1985 she and a team of YWAM’ers founded Small World Christian Kindergarten (SWCK) with 8 students, teaching Christian values and education to pre-schoolers. By the grace of God, SWCK became the cornerstone for Generations Christian Education and now includes three schools on four campuses and more than 900 students!
Ray, a native New Yorker, spent 4 years in Hong Kong with The Wall Street Journal in the early 90’s. In 2008 he returned to the former British Colony with Forbes in a new season of life. He met Gail at Union Church and the rest is history! Happily married for nearly 10 years, they are active supporters of our community in the Walk to Emmaus, Men’s Ministry, Prison Ministry, and Missions work.
This is the first of what we hope will be several events during the coming year that ladies may also attend so please invite your spouses, partners, colleagues and friends.
Please join us for a special luncheon as Gail and Ray share their story of “Small World and Big God” and also wish them “Bon Voyage”!
