We are excited to announce the 9th Annual Ladies Retreat!! Union ladies and their friends are headed to tranquil Kota Kinabalu, which has been ranked to have the 4^th best sunset in the world! The retreat programme starts on 6 March at 6:00pm (just before sunset!) and concludes on Sunday, 9 March at midday.

We will stay at the waterfront 5-star Marriott Hotel. Learn more about Kota Kinabalu.

There will be worship, talks, testimony, fellowship, laughter, activities, time to explore + wander the city + eat lots of Malay and South East Asian foods!

cost

Please note that the quoted prices DO NOT include airfares to and from Kota Kinabalu International Airport. We have explored group flight tickets like in past years, but the quotes were very high and were not flexible to cater for individual travellers’ needs. We also found that you will get a better deal with any extra options you like if you book your own flights. Perhaps you have air miles or wish to stay on extra days! Please see advice in the section below. Sorry for the inconvenience.

The retreat price (HK$3100 shared accommodation; HK$4300 single accommodation)* includes:
- Thursday Evening - Welcome reception with refreshments and snacks
- Room and buffet breakfast for 3 nights (Thurs/Fri/Sat)
- Friday - Morning Tea/Snacks and Light Lunch with drink
- Friday Evening - Festive Dinner Buffet
- Saturday - Morning Tea/Snacks and Light Lunch with drink
- Saturday Evening – free to wander around Kota Kinabalu
Sunday - Worship (Lunch is at your own expense)

*Please note that if you wish to stay longer, the Marriott hotel is offering the same room rates for three days before and after the event. Feel free to reach out to Lindy or Joanna for more details.

exclusions

These items need to be paid separately on your own account: flights, two airport transfers between Kota Kinabalu International Airport to the hotel, Saturday dinner, Sunday lunch and costs related to shopping etc.

booking your own flights

Please book your flight so that you are at the hotel no later than 6:00pm on Thursday, 6 March, and that you stay at the hotel until noon on Sunday, 9 March 2025.

Ground transportation between the Kota Kinabalu International Airport and the hotel can take around 15 to 20 minutes.

Please double check here whether you need a visa for entry into Malaysia.

Please pay $3100 (shared accommodation) or $4300 (single accommodation) by bank transfer, by cheque, FPS or the preferred method - by credit card online (a 3% surcharge applies). Payment requested at the time you register.

By FPS - Please enter ID Number: 111458360 or scan the QR code.

Please send a copy of your transfer receipt along with your personal details, noting "Ladies Retreat 2025" to .

By cheque - Please make your HK$ cheque payable to "Union Church". Designate "Ladies Retreat 2025" on the back of your cheque and post it to Union Church, 22A Kennedy Road, 4/F - Accounts Department, Mid-levels, Hong Kong.

By bank transfer - Please pay into Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Limited, Account No. 411-1-000037-2, SWIFT Code if needed is SCBLHKHHXXX. Please alert the Church office at when you make the transfer, noting "Ladies Retreat 2025".

By credit card online - You may pay via credit card using Union Church's online giving form. (A 3% fee will be added to credit card payments. Please pay $3193 for shared accommodation and $4429 for single accommodation.)
