Sunday is Youth Sunday! The youth group has more than doubled this year and the ministry for and with our young people is one of Union’s greatest gifts from God. You will be blessed by their ministry to us on Sunday. Special thanks to Brenna, her intern, John Anderson, Pastor Matthew and the adult volunteers and parents who make this ministry possible. They are joined this week by Antonin Ficatier. Here is a brief bio of Union’s newest staff member. Born and raised in France, Antonin developed an interest in Chinese culture and language at an early age. His passion eventually led him to China, where he graduated from the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing with a degree in Economics. Back to France, Antonin did a Master in International Business and started his own business, Chinese Institute, today one of France’s leading training centers dedicated to teaching Chinese. A few years later, Antonin felt called to ministry, did a BA in Theology from Paris Seminary, left his company, and decided to go to the States, where he just completed a Master of Arts in Christian Education from Princeton Seminary. Antonin is passionate about working with youth and has been a scout leader for almost 10 years. He loves travelling, playing soccer, and drinking Coke. This August, Antonin is going to marry Jessica Docherty when she will leave her work in London to join him in Hong Kong. As we say hello to Antonin, we are preparing to say goodbye to Lee-Ann. There will be a special love offering taking for her this Sunday. Pastor Greg |

This Friday is the 8th Annual The Amazing (G)Race! Youth 11 to 18 are invited to join us at Union from 6:30 to 9:00PM for our citywide scavenger! Teams of 5 youth and 1 adult leader will run the race to see who can be the odds and come out on top! Parents and families are invited to join us at 8:00PM to celebrate the evening with a BBQ! This Sunday is Youth Sunday. We are still looking for youth to help with greeting and being ushers. If your youth can help, please e-mail Brenna. Sunday School Student's Graduation On Sunday, 12 June at both the 9:30AM and 11:00AM, children born in 2005 will be graduating from Sunday School. Please join us as we bless these children on their next journey in seeking Christ through the youth program. Dad’s Date Please Save the Date, 19 June for Dad’s Date. In celebrating Father’s Day, Kingdom Kids is organising an afternoon of activities including an interactive drumming session and a self defense lesson with Mike Powers for all the Fathers and children of Union Church. It will take place at the Union Church Fellowship Hall from 12:15PM. Light lunch will be provided. Please sign up at or at the Kingdom Kids Table if you would like to join us. End of Year Party On Sunday, 26 Jun, children are invited to join us for some fun games and pizzas as we celebrate the end of our Sunday School year. There will be some water games and extra pair of clothes for change may be required. VBS Sunday School Kingdom Kids invite all children from 3 to 10 years old for our VBS Summer Sunday School titled “EGYPT - Joseph’s Journey from Prison to Palace”. We’ve got fun wrapped up for 5 Sundays in the summer, July 17, 24, 31, Aug 7, 14 and a VBS RecapSunday on Aug 21 at 9:30AM & 11:00AM. There will be worship, skits, bible story-telling, games, snacks and Egypt culture exploration. Registration is now open, and volunteers from 11 years old and above are needed.
