U Matters |
This week I read a sobering article, "Why I Don't Go to Church on Mother's Day." Pastor Michele was very helpful (as always) in addressing some of the concerns raised and I hope to interview her Sunday during the sermon. I mentioned Mother's Day at my men's group this week and two of the guys rushed out afterwards looking for cards--I am sure they would have remembered without my prompt. Sunday we do want to thank God for our mothers and celebrate the chance we have to be a church family to those who may not have any other family. For as God says through the prophet in Isaiah 66:13: "As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you." Please join us as we celebrate God and his gift of family. Pastor Greg |

Wishes all the mothers a Blessed and Joyful Mother's Day. “Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.” Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. (Proverbs 31:29-30 NIV) Happy Mother's Day! As a tribute to all the Moms, a team of Dads have been formed to teach Sunday School this coming Mother's Day. To all the Dads who have volunteered, Children Ministry would like to Thank You from the bottom of our hearts. |
