U Matters
"I learned my faith was situational," a friend said to me this week. He is going through cancer treatment with a positive prognosis. But this challenge reminded him that his faith was dependent on his circumstances.
I confess it is easier to trust God when things are going well. Or when a move to a new church building goes better than planned. Or when you serve a remarkable congregation that is flexible, forgiving and fun.
But this week I thank a close friend who reminded me that God is present in the worst as well as the best of times.

Young Adult
Uni-On Lunch
Uni-On, our students fellowship group, is starting back. Meet Anto every Thursday for lunch (12-1PM) at the Library Starbucks at HKU.
U-Bar, A Special Service for Young Adults
This Sunday we invite all Young Adults to join Anto at the Indigo Hotel Skybar, for a special service named U-Bar, at the 11:15AM service.
Live music by Justin & the Youth Band.
Youth
New Confirmation/Baptism Class
Youth who want to be baptized or confirmed this year should get in touch with Anto as soon as possible. A new class will start soon, with exciting activities throughout the year, including a 4 days-trip!
This Friday, 15 Sept - First Youth Group @ Sunlight Tower
Juniors meet from 6 to 8PM, Seniors meet from 7:30 to 9PM, with optional hang out in the Youth Lounge after until 10:00PM.
This Friday is Hunter’s last Friday, so all should come to say goodbye!

Kingdom Kids
Sunday School at Sunlight Tower, Sunday 9:45AM & 11:15AM
Children ages 3-10 years old will meet at the Music Room for Kids Worship Time before proceeding to their respective classrooms accompanied by their teachers. Babies and toddlers ages 0 up to 3 years old will proceed directly to the Creche Room. Please pick up the Sunday School new schedules and class assignment at the Kingdom Kids Table. Parents please note that for the month of September, children are required to be picked up directly from their classroom promptly at the end of the service regardless of their age. We look forward to see your family there and let us continue in our journey to raise our children for God’s Kingdom.
Children’s Christmas Musical Audition
We are excited to inform you that this year Children’s Christmas Musical will take place on Sunday, 10 December 2017. We will have our first audition this coming Sunday, 17 September at the 9:45AM and 11:15AM service during the Sunday School hour. We look forward to see your children at the Sunday School and share this exciting news with them. Details info on our Children’s Christmas Rehearsal Schedule will be emailed to all the parents with registered kids in our Sunday School. If you have not yet register your children with us, kindly do so at your earliest convenient.
