Sunday night with Canon Andrew White will be one many of us will long remember. To quote him, “Heaven came down to earth.” Thank you for your amazing response in all the services to the needs of the refugee school in Jordan. Between the special offerings, banquet and other creative funding opportunities, HK$603,280 was raised. Special thanks to the Deacons and the Mission Committee for working together to prepare the church to make such a generous response. My colleagues Pastor Michele and Lee-Ann deserve special kudos for helping to orchestrate the effort. This week, at all services, Bob Kilpatrick, speaker and Christian songwriter, will speak. Back by popular demand, Bob has had a special ministry with us and we can’t wait to see how God will use him this time. Pastor Greg |
This WeekGuest Speaker, Bob Kilpatrick will speak and sing at all services. For more information, please click here. Pledge to Foundation for Relief and Reconciliation in the Middle East – If you have pledged money for this ministry or would like to donate please settle as soon as possible. |
OpportunitiesAd Hoc Nominations Committee To all members of Union Church, the Joint Leaders are forming an Ad Hoc Nominations Committee for the purpose of identifying candidates to join the Committee of Management mid-year prior to the next Annual General Meeting. The Ad Hoc Nominations Committee is to be comprised of the Senior Pastor, a member of the Deacons' Court, a member of the Committee of Management and ideally one committed member from each of the six Sunday worship services who is also a regular attendee at such service. Your participation will require one or two meetings at the most and directly help shape the current and future Committee of Management. If you are interested in becoming a member of this Ad Hoc Nominations Committee, please contact Steve Nutland (mob. 5193 4804) or Roy Huang (mob. 6050 8282).

Bible Series Talk - 'David the King: Gangster to Glory' - Pastor Matthew
One throne, one crown, myriad rivals. Let the games begin. Though the odds are always in favour of God's chosen, David must extort, maraud, and harry his path across the Promised Land. His way is often our way: faithful in want, corrupt in exultation, yet redeemable. We will follow the story of Israel's move from tribal confederacy to illustrious monarchy through the Bible's legendary statesman, the King of Spades.

This week please remember Lee-Ann and Freddy McFarlane as they travel to Swaziland for Lee-Ann's father funeral. Also, please remember Pastor Ruth as she grieves the loss of her mother, who died two weeks ago in the Philippines. We are grateful that we can grieve as people who have hope.
