St Andrews Sunday - Next Sunday 30 Nov at 9:30am service Union celebrates its Scottish roots as we celebrate St Andrews Sunday. There will be 3 bagpipers and the ushers will be in kilts. Andrew was the disciple who kept bringing people to Jesus and we encourage you to bring your friends to Union as we celebrate the Advent and Christmas! A Special Christmas Worship - Next Sunday 30 Nov at the 5pm service Union Church will present a multimedia worship experience. International recording artist Dr. ENOCH FERNANDO based out of Southern California, will bring to life the grand piano with his unique style of inspirational instrumental and vocal music which will include Christmas selections and carol singing. This will be a wonderful experience to invite friends and family too! Join us next Sunday! BUFF: Deepening Our Spiritual Roots - Prepare to Be Blessed! To grow spiritual roots, along with physical roots, join us for a Special Evening of Prayer and Worship for Building Union For The Future. During the prayer evening, a redevelopment update will be provided along with early visuals of the aspirational design. Those attending will have a chance to pray for Union Church and the future as we deepen our spiritual roots together. Come prepared to be blessed on Tue 25 Nov, 7:30-9:00pm and bring a friend to further deepen our spiritual roots. |

Annual Thanksgiving Lunch A family meal. You are invited to join us for a homecooked Thanksgiving lunch on Sun, 23 Nov immediately following the 11AM service. Please bring your favourite dish. If you are interested in helping with this event, Pastor Michele would LOVE to hear from you.
In the Spirit of Thanksgiving, we will be collecting gently used items on 23 Nov for Christian Action. These include: Clothes, toys, shoes, and household items (incl. Electrical appliances). Please bring these items forward to the altar at any of the four services.
Union Alpha's 20th Anniversary Party We will be celebrating 20 years of running the Alpha Course at Union Church on Sat, 29 Nov, 7:30-10:00PM. We will have fun, fellowship, worship and great food, of course! Everyone who's attended Alpha before is invited to join the party. Info/Reservations:

The James Legge Christmas Musical - Sun 14 Dec, 9:30AM & 11AM services Invite a friend to join you to come see the James Legge Christmas Musical and share with him/her the GOOD NEWS of the birth of Jesus Christ. Wed, 26 Nov, 8:00-9:00PM (Dinner at 7:30PM) Jong Lee, Korean-American entrepreneur and CEO of Hanson Robotics, will speak on "Creating Artificial General Intelligence (the conscious robot) and how Artificial Intelligence relates to faith". What ethical norms apply to Artificial Intelligence? Will AGI have rights? Are we playing God? Will AI serve humanity? How? Does creating a conscious robot give insight into the mind of the Creator? Jong will bring a robot with a human face that you can communicate with. Mr. Lee graduated from Columbia Law School and worked for Simpson Thacher & Bartlett on Wall Street as a private equity attorney. He later founded and became the managing director of RGL Holdings Limited (with a portfolio that includes Bonham Strand Bespoke Tailors, Hong Kong Commons, Lots of Buttons, Good Chow and Hanson Robotics). He was also previously involved in investments in and management of Starbucks Beijing and MTV Japan. Mr. Lee is also co-curator of TEDx Hong Kong. |

Baking cookies is always fun and once again we will be preparing cookies for YWAM team members to hand out as Christmas gifts to the night workers in Wanchai. Christmas outreach with "Exchange Square", our UC Ministry in Tung Chung As the world celebrates this holiday season with tinsel and decorated trees, Union church is invited to join in a truly Christmas community outreach program through caroling and the presenting of gift bags 21-25 Dec.
